Last October I did a deep dive on Dr. Anthony Fauci

Back then he was not nearly the controversial figure he is now

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt despite being aware that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) canceled an important trial of Hydroxychloroquine in June of last year because they couldn’t find enough participants…yet half the country wanted to use it back then

What emerged was the picture of a career bureaucrat who was more concerned with politics, his legacy, and media attention rather than public health…the ultimate swamp creature

His obsession with developing a vaccine for HIV is clear by his massive funding AID research

HIV/AIDS research in 2020 increased 38% compared to 2019 and of the top 200 non-Covid-19 grants, AIDS research accounted for 57% of the budget

You might think that’s great, but any risk-benefit analysis shows that this is not really a public health priority for the US

Side note: The problem with an HIV vaccine is twofold:

• It mutates frequently, similar to respiratory viruses

• It can hide in the immune system

The chances of finding a vaccine for a virus that behaves in this way are small

But I want to be fair here because I criticized his zealous insistence of prioritizing a C-19 vaccine over therapeutics and repurposed drugs

I still think he was wrong to ignore the other two, but the vaccines are a success overall → just don’t vaccinate young people…there’s no such thing as “mostly peaceful” myocarditis

Since then much more has come out about Fauci, I recommend Steve Deace’s “Faucian Bargain” as a more complete look into him

But what I want to focus on is this tweet in that deep dive:

I spent a long time thinking about how to approach the subject of gain of function (GoF) research in Wuhan that was funded by the NIAID through Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance

Back then this was a subject that could get you banned for bringing it up so I settled on this slide which raised the issue but didn’t make inflammatory insinuations

The problem is that this was an inflammatory issue!!!!!

It was known since April/May of 2020 that NIAID had funded gain of function research

It took over a year, and Jon Stewart’s bravery, to bring this story to the forefront

In a normal country, Fauci would have at the very least been fired when the GoF funding research info came out and at worst been investigated by the FBI

Nope, instead, our mainstream media elevated him to sainthood status

We’ve all become so cynical that we shrug our shoulders and think “it is what it is”

That’s normal, humans are very adaptable

But something happened this week that left me speechless:

Bipartisan horror and outrage that Fauci had a hand in experiments that were cruel towards dogs

Some speculate that this is a pretense to get him out as his popularity and credibility wanes…doesn’t matter

Have we lost our minds?

Fauci potentially had a hand in the genesis of Covid-19, yet cruelty to dogs is what gets him to go?

We didn’t condemn Fauci for funding gain of function research in Wuhan But he’s evil for experimenting on dogs We’ve got our priorities mixed up

And Fauci isn’t the only example, I could have easily titled this article the “Cuomo Doctrine” and my point would be the same

The ideological capture of our most important institutions by one side of the political spectrum is a joke at this point

This particular case is so egregious that I’m not sure what someone left of center would need to do in order to be forced out of office

That’s the “Fauci Doctrine”: you can be as corrupt, incompetent, or blatantly associated with the genesis of the worst human pandemic in the past century…yet there are no repercussions

Unless of course, you experiment on dogs…or become a political liability
