Biden Just Invited Putin into Ukraine
Blunder by President Biden Threatens Global Geo-Strategic Balance of Power
President Joe Biden has made a lot of gaffes since taking office exactly one year ago.
But his current blunder on Ukraine is possibly his most egregious because it seriously imperils international security and makes the world a far more dangerous place.
Here is the quote:
"It's one thing if it's a minor incursion and we end up having to fight about what to do and not do," Biden told reporters at an East Room news conference. "But if they actually do what they're capable of doing with the forces amassed on the border, it is going to be a disaster for Russia if they further invade Ukraine."
So Biden just told Putin that a “minor incursion” into Ukraine is not a biggie as far as the US is concerned. And in fact, if you read between the lines, he indicates that military action is not on the table even if Russia launches a full invasion of Ukraine.
I really can’t remember a similar situation where a Commander in Chief showed the enemy his cards in the middle of a high-stakes poker game.
After all, the single most important tool in the US arsenal for maintaining global peace is “DETERRENCE”.
He just pissed away his line in the sand before even having drawn it.
Does Biden think that economic sanctions will deter Putin? Looking for help from Europe? It’s winter and Europe’s most powerful economy, Germany, is dependent on Russian natural gas to keep its people from freezing to death. Worse, Biden killed US natural gas production, so we’re not really even in a position to provide an alternative to European dependence on Russian natural gas…in the winter.
And then there is the problem of how do you define a “minor incursion”. Putin is just going to keep pushing until he is satisfied that he understands what a “minor incursion” is.
This has far-reaching consequences beyond what will happen in Ukraine.
Think about all the other global actors that are kept in check via US deterrence:
China → Taiwan/South China Sea
North Korea → South Korea
Iran → Middle East/Israel
Russia → Ukraine/Baltics
And let’s be honest…nobody will believe tough talk by Biden moving forward. Not after selling out our Afghani allies for a 9/11 photo-op.
Once deterrence is lost, usually the only way to re-establish it is through the use of military force whereby soldiers and civilians tend to be killed…which is bad enough.
However, the real issue is that of escalation. Use military force and the other side likely retaliates and you don’t know where this could lead or how it ends.
Given the weakness that Biden has projected as president, it’s not clear that he will be taken seriously even if he does decide to use military force. It’s not unreasonable to see Russia or China choosing to escalate militarily as a way to test Biden’s resolve.
And quite honestly, I don’t trust how Biden would respond.
Would we get angry Biden?
Grumpy irritable Biden?
Or maybe creepy sleepy whispering Biden?
All humor aside, this is not a laughing matter. What’s happening is extremely dangerous.
Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright perfectly sums up the reality of the situation:
The “World just got very, very dangerous”.
President Biden is not fit to be president after this. It’s too big of an error with unthinkably disastrous potential consequences. And the current situations (Ukraine, Taiwan, etc) are only going to continue to grow more dangerous.
The issue is not the fact that he made the error, but rather why he did so → It’s clear that his mental faculties are significantly diminished.
It’s time to consider the use of the 25th Amendment, and the reason is simple → it is dangerous to continue letting him occupy the mantle of Commander-in-Chief.
If this option is not politically palatable, then keep Biden away from direct interaction with foreign adversaries or making public statements on issues of national security…manage the elderly gentleman.
Most people aren’t into geopolitics and international security, but I can assure you that the community of trans-Atlantic experts and officials involved in this domain are seriously freaked out by what just happened.
This is a big deal.
The bigger picture view is that war is actually desired by the powers that be. In the UK at least, the covid narrative is being wound back but now we need another "problem to solve" War will be that problem. The UK govt (crown interests) are poking their nose into Ukraine as they have been wanting Russia back under control for at least the last 20 years, since Putin kicked out the central bankers.
Yes, all very rabbit holey but frankly, if you don't see that something much bigger is afoot in the world then you need to start paying attention.
He deserves the 25th amendment, but then you have Kamala who is actually even less
competent, less serious and isn't thought well of or respected by anyone.
